Spring Technical Training

Sessions held at Springfield Plains Elementary on Friday nights April 21st thru June 9th

There will be 3 separate groups for each hour.

5pm - 20010,2009, 2008, 2007
6pm - 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003
7pm - High school ages

We really want to encourage all our players to have solid technical foundations and this is a fantastic opportunity to improve upon that aspect of the game. Sessions will be designed around specific technical aspects with each session created to function with its applied age group. Technical training will stretch across 7 Fridays. 

4/21 - ball mastery - the ability to manipulate the ball with any surface 

4/28 - passing and receiving - the ability to connect with my teammates and to maintain possession 

5/5 - dribbling 1v1 - ability to be creative and to change pace and direction in order to beat a defender 

5/12 - ball mastery 2 - the ability to manipulate the ball under pressure using turns

5/19 - finishing - the ability to score with any part of my body in any situation 

6/2 - basic combinations - connections between teammates with the purpose of finding space and playing around defenders 

6/9 - defending - the ability to influence the attacking player, when and how to tackle
